The wooden animals of the Dieren Parade are based on the designs of toy manufacturer Konrad Keller from 1965. Makii wants to produce them locally, socially and sustainably. For example, the Dutch FSC wood is purchased from Staatsbosbeheer and the animals are made at the Stunt Foundation. This is a social enterprise from Delft, for people who - due to circumstances - are not yet ready for regular work. A crazy story!

• LOCAL We buy the (FSC) wood from Staatsbosbeheer. They cut down trees to keep forests varied and future-proof for people, plants and animals.
• SOCIAL The wooden animals are produced by Stichting Stunt, a social enterprise from Delft for people who (due to circumstances) are not yet ready for regular work.
